Event Day Info
Our lantern launch will take place at nightfall and is 100% dependent on the wind and the fire marshal's approval. In the unlikely occurrence that we cancel an event, our policy is to return to the city within three months of the original date. You will be contacted via email with updates and a new itinerary.
Things To Remember
- Bring chairs, and blankets as there will be some sitting while listening to the music provided.
- Please note that we do not allow outside food or drink at The Lights fest. Don't worry though, we make sure our events are packed with a variety of food trucks.
- Please bring warm clothing. We will sell merchandise that includes blankets and sweatshirts, but encourage you to bring warm clothing. We know it will get colder as the night goes on.
Mitchell's Journey is both the story of a little boy who died and an ongoing mission to offer hope, faith, and insights on how to live a life of significance. Our non-profit organization offers free tools and resources to strengthen families as well as serve unmet needs for local families who deal with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy; from wheelchair ramps, moderate home alterations and help with mobility devices, we help families who cannot get help through other programs. Our mission is “To help the leprosy colonies become thriving, self-sufficient communities.”
We are accomplishing this through three major initiatives:
- Economic rehabilitation
- Medical care
